Greetings! The ODF chat log for 12 June 2017 is attached. Hope everyone is at the start of a great week! Patrick *********** anonymous morphed into Jos van den Oever Patrick: Have quorum 6 of 9 Patrick: Headings discussion - Regina's test files Andras Timar 2: Hello, I've just joined to the call. Michael Stahl: relevant: 16.34 <text:outline-style> says "An outline style is a list style that is applied to all headings within a text document where the heading's paragraph style does not define a list style to use itself." Patrick: Andras, adding you to the attendance list Regina Henschel: 19.496 style:list-style-name does not mention the situation, when a paragraph has applied a list style, but is not contained in a list but has an outline level. Regina Henschel: Does this list style generated a numbering? Regina Henschel: generates Patrick: secondary question: which takes preference? Regina Henschel: "An outline style is a list style that is applied to all headings within a text document where the heading's paragraph style does not define a list style to use itself." (16.34<text:outline-style>) From this sentence I would say, that it should generate a numbering. Patrick: +1 on should generate a numbering Regina Henschel: Shall I write proposal to add to 19.496? Patrick: yes, please Patrick: when heading is indeed inside a list, the numbering style is applied, if have nesting in list and heading has attribute outline-level, which one is actually used for the outline numbering Patrick: in LO, the outline level is ignored Patrick: for numbering Patrick: is there a difference for indentation and numbering? Patrick: Regina - indented according to the outline level (toc) - in the text itself, list level is used for the numbering Patrick: LO - indentation from the numbering and copies it to the paragraph - list numbering is used and then indentation from the text Patrick: Regina - perhaps application should assess the list level same as the outline level - Patrick: if the outline and list levels differ - ??? Patrick: Regina, currently the list level is used in LO Patrick: Regina suggest list preference and app should supply UI for outline level -- Patrick Durusau
