OASIS Charter Submission Discuss

  • 1.  Notes from the CXS convener call

CXS TC proposers,  The convener call for the CXS TC took place today. On the call were Serge Huber, Thomas Sigdestad, Chet Ensign, Carol Geyer and Dee Schur.  We reviewed the comments I submitted to the oasis-charter-discuss@ mailing list. The edits were accepted and we discussed how to address the first meeting date. We reviewed the timing of the call for participation and the first meeting date. I explained that the call can go out as late as March 15th in order to hold the first meeting as a face-to-face on April 29th. Serge and Thomas want to hold the first meeting in person in order to make quick progress on the spec.  I explained that for a face-to-face we will need a specific address or location within Paris provided in the charter. Thomas said that he will check with his colleagues in Paris to see if the location can be arranged.  We reviewed the steps leading up to the first meeting (call for participation, reminder of deadline to join with voting rights, call for nominations for chair and the first meeting). We reviewed what will be ready for the TC when the call goes out (TC main email list, TC internal web site including the roster for joining, TC public web site).  Carol reviewed steps that will be taken for promotion and recruiting both during the call for participation and after the first meeting. Carol went over how OASIS will issue a press release after the first meeting.  Lastly we complimented the team on how they kept this effort going. We are all really thrilled to see this initiative starting up. Serge told us that they have been getting interest from Gartner analysts.  The next steps will be to make the decision on the first meeting, update the charter and submit the final charter to OASIS. The final submission needs to be by March 14th in order to enable the Call for Participation to go out in time for the proposed first meeting date of 4/29.  Best regards,  /chet  -- /chet    [§]  ---------------- Chet Ensign Director of Standards Development and TC Administration  OASIS: Advancing open standards for the information society http://www.oasis-open.org Primary: +1 973-996-2298 Mobile: +1 201-341-1393  Check your work using the Support Request Submission Checklist at  http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/47248/tc-admin-submission-checklist.html   TC Administration information and support is available at http://www.oasis-open.org/resources/tcadmin Follow OASIS on: LinkedIn:     http://linkd.in/OASISopen Twitter:         http://twitter.com/OASISopen Facebook:   http://facebook.com/oasis.open

Thanks a lot for the notes, just a small correction : I (Serge) will be doing the location search in Paris not Thomas. I've already put people on it, hopefully it will happen soon :)  Best regards,   Serge Huber. - -- --- -----=[ shuber at jahia dot com ]=---- --- -- - CTO & Co-founder - Jahia Solutions Group, 9 Routes de Jeunes, 1227 Acacias, Switzerland twitter:  @sergehuber Jahia is a leading open source User eXperience Platform (UXP) vendor, relentlessly working at transforming a siloed industry into a user-driven one, beyond technology constraints -  http://www.jahia.com On Tue, Mar 10, 2015 at 5:15 PM, Chet Ensign < chet.ensign@oasis-open.org > wrote: CXS TC proposers,  The convener call for the CXS TC took place today. Hello all,  Now that we have the TC space on OASIS Kagi tool I see that some of you have already registered to the new Context Server TC group. It would be great if all of you could join simply by going to this link :    https://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/cxs/ This should prompt a login and prompt you to join (can’t test it here so I hope that’s how it works :) Once everyone is on board we can then use the mailing list which will be simply than CC everybody.
