    Something like the DSIG Transforms element?
    	<tns:match tns:algorithm="qname">
    		data of the "pattern" to match
    	</tns:match>
    Makes sense.  We could then define standard ones such as perl/xmlschema
    regexps, X.509 rules, etc.
