    I would like to ask the members of the GIS SC to elect a
new subcommittee chair.

I propose that such election occur at a conference call
meeting on Tuesday, Aug 12 at noon. The call-in number

In that regard, I would like to nominate Carl Reed for
the position of GIS SC chair.
