Acceptance of Minutes of the March, the 24th meeting
------------------------------------------------------
- The attending TC members unanimously accepted the minutes.
Action Items
------------
- Editors: suggest Relax-NG schema changes according to the meeting
decisions
- done
- Paul Langille: post example for back tabulator
- done, more information might follow
Con call start times
--------------------
The attending TC members prefer to adapt the con call starting times to
daylight saving times rather than keeping the GMT time. This would mean
that the meeting starts at 3pm/6pm GMT (instead of 4pm/7pm GMT), but
that the local starting times in North America and Europe would not
change. The non attending TC should get a chance to object to this in
the TC's mailing list.
Discussion of Work Package 3.3.2 Footnotes and Endnotes
-------------------------------------------------------
The TC unanimously agreed to replace the "footnote" and "endnote"
elements with a more general "note" and the "footnote-configuration" and
"endnote-configuration" element with a more general "note-style"
element. Both, "note" and "note-style" will have an attribute attached
that specifies whether the note is a foot- or endnote(-configuration).
This allows it to extend the note concept later, for instance by adding
sidenotes. However, for the first specification, foot- and endnotes will
be supported only. The TC also unanimously agreed to extend the
footnotes-position element with values for "end of section" and "end of
text".
Discussion of Work Package 3.3.4 Fields
---------------------------------------
The TC members unanimously agreed to extend the text:user-defined with
attributes that specify the data type and the value of the meta data
that is referenced.
The TC further discussed whether the "is-hidden" attribute of the
"hidden-paragraph" field should be moved to the paragraph that contains
the field.
The discussion of fields will be continued on the TC's mailing list and
if possible, finished at the next meeting.
New Action Items
----------------
none
