Hi all, The specification says: "Modifiers SHOULD NOT replicate inline codes that have their attribute canCopy set to no." I cannot recall why this is not a MUST NOT. Does anyone remembers the rational for this? Thanks, -yves

I guess I'll answer my own question: This is likely a typo as we use MUST NOT elsewhere: https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xliff-comment/201310/msg00033.html I'll assume it's MUST NOT for the implementation. -ys

Thanks Yves, I agree  I believe this can be fixed in association with 144. I can take 144 that is currently TBD Dr. David Filip ======================= LRC CNGL LT-Web CSIS University of Limerick, Ireland telephone: +353-6120-2781 cellphone: +353-86-0222-158 facsimile: +353-6120-2734 mailto: david.filip@ul.ie On Thu, Oct 31, 2013 at 8:35 PM, Yves Savourel < ysavourel@enlaso.com > wrote: I guess I'll answer my own question: This is likely a typo as we use MUST NOT elsewhere: https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xliff-comment/201310/msg00033.html I'll assume it's MUST NOT for the implementation. -ys

144? That one, in my opinion, is just an editorial fix (fixing an inconsistency).   Changing the default for translate is a major change: It implies a lot of coding re-work.   Why not add a new item? Maybe it can be labeled differently to ensure we track the fact it is an internal TC comment rather than an external public comment with time restriction.   Cheers, -ys     From: Dr. David Filip [mailto:David.Filip@ul.ie] Sent: Monday, November 4, 2013 6:39 AM To: Yves Savourel Cc: xliff@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: Re: [xliff] PR question   Thanks Yves, I agree  I believe this can be fixed in association with 144. Yves, I did not say anything about the translate defaults issue in this thread.. This is obviously a completely different issue.. I agree the translate defaults are an important issue but that issue is discussed in its own thread.. Hi David, > Yves, I did not say anything about the translate defaults > issue in this thread.. This is obviously a completely > different issue.. My bad: 144 is the correct issue for this thread. For some reason I thought you were continuing to answer https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/xliff/201311/msg00007.html and that time you were talking about the admin issue of a TC member comment during review changes. I saw Bryan followed up on that. -yves
