MEETING MINUTES OF BDXR TC MEETING 30 SEPTEMBER 2015 ATTENDANCE Kenneth Bengtsson (chair) Erlend Klakegg Bergheim Ken Holman Sven Rasmussen Regrets received in advance: Kees Duvekot Klaus Vilstrup Pedersen STATUS ON BDE 1.0 COMMITTEE SPECIFICATION The BDE 1.0 Committee Specification has been published by OASIS:  https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/bdxr/201509/msg00007.html It was agreed to focus TC resources on finalizing BDE 1.1 why an OASIS standard will not be pursued for BDE 1.0. BDE 1.1 Work in progress for BDE 1.1 available here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1TQ597-7MBLr6RwDBg2kFLx8sgO51xk6K-wpTDUEN9Uc Ken will commence producing draft schemas for BDE 1.1 after our scheduled TC meeting October 28, why all TC members and interested parties are encouraged to submit their input before that date. UPDATE ON BDXL AND SMP STATEMENTS OF USE Sven informed that SMP has been submitted to the European Multi-stakeholder Platform (MSP) with a recommendation for the approval of its adoption. ANY OTHER BUSINESS Sven submitted a question regarding the use of extensions in SMP:  https://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/bdxr/201509/msg00009.html . It was agreed that the phrasing in question ("SMP publishing services MUST NOT produce metadata that contain extensions necessary for a Client to understand in order to make use of this metadata", in the conformance statement in the specification) is intended for general conformance with the specification and does not prohibit users from agreeing upon extensions bilaterally or in a closed community. It was also agreed it would be useful to issue a Committee Note with this clarification. Kenneth to start a Committee Note document. Erlend informed that there has been discussions in OpenPEPPOL about caching of SMP records to allow greater scalability. Sven added that BDXL/SML scalability also is an issue that is being discussed. Agreed to put SMP caching and general SMP+BDXL scalability an agenda item for next meeting. MEETING SCHEDULE October 14 2015, regular conference call October 28 2015, regular conference call November 11 2015, regular conference call Kenneth Bengtsson

Yes, it was when I reported on this development from the MSP in mid-September that I received several questions about the status of an OASIS TC Spec rather than a OS. It will be helpful to have the work you are doing to give more visibility to OASIS TC Specs so that they do not appear to outsiders to be somehow "second class".  Cheers, Carol On Tue, Oct 6, 2015 at 12:52 AM, Chet Ensign < chet.ensign@oasis-open.org > wrote: Forwarding for the SMP to MSP note below. Thanks Carol. I am going to start adding Committee Specs today - I'm still collecting the set. It is surprisingly large so it will take time to get them all added. But I'll make a point of getting SMP added in the first round.  /chet On Tue, Oct 6, 2015 at 2:59 AM, Carol Cosgrove-Sacks < carol.cosgrove-sacks@oasis-open.org > wrote: Yes, it was when I reported on this development from the MSP in mid-September that I received several questions about the status of an OASIS TC Spec rather than a OS.
