Just wanted to say something on events in Burma and China this week - really puts things into perspective and shows how vital good preparation is in being able to mount any kind of organized responses to these tradegies whereever they occur.
It may seem kinda wierd to look at XML and angle bracket technology - but it definately appears connected - with thoughts on getting help to people today - and those in the future...
My daughter is doing a school project on WW2 - interviewing my Dad - and I realized - back then - there was Morse code - and keys - tapping out communications - hand transcribing on to paper - now we have text messaging and cellular systems. Still the same needs - to coordinate resources. Now the challenges are global and the scale ever larger - and access remains the biggest. People power however - can move mountains - every little piece makes a difference...
