Hi All,   Mercé Ferres of ISO has just written to Jamie Clarke to inform him that XLIFF has unanimously passed the DIS vote with no comments. ISO will now want to skip the FDIS stage and go straight to publication.   There is one issue which Mercé is raising with Jamie. ISO need confirmation that every concerned Patent Holder agree with their Patent Policy and sign their Patent Statement and Licensing Declaration form, expressing their willingness to grant licenses to the users of the ISO Standard. My understanding is that this is a formality as we must sign this before contributing to an OASIS standard.   Congratulations to everyone involved! This should help promote the standard and the work of the technical committee.   Thanks,   Peter.   Peter Reynolds Phone: +48 503 154 766 Skype: preynolds1 URL: http://www.maart.com/    Twitter: @peterrey

Congratulations to all.  We'll need to prepare a specific answer from OASIS to the IPR query, so please don't start out on individual attestations yet.  ISO's prior practice has been to accept a fairly simple form from us, and that would be the simplest and easiest outcome.  So let me prepare that form, and show you (the TC) first.  Should be possible within the next few business days. Also, we should not make an formal announcement yet, as ISO prefers that we wait for some of their formalities to be confirmed.   I am copying our Carol Geyer here, as such announcements and their timing are her expertise. David, Jamie is at OASIS Board meetings so I took a look.  On the ISO website, it is listed as ISO/DIS 21720 (see https://www.iso.org/standard/71490.html?browse=tc ). It is marked as 'under development' but a preview is available that shows the spec. So I would imagine it will be finalized soon.  Best,  /chet On Thu, Mar 9, 2017 at 9:18 AM, David Filip < david.filip@adaptcentre.ie > wrote: Jamie, was there any progress on the publication of  ISO  21720 -  XLIFF since autumn?
