    Hi Again Everyone,

It finally dawned on me that tomorrow is a holiday. So, it seems that
my suggestion of meeting to finish up work on EDXL-RM is not wise.
So, I suggest we meet after the TC meeting Tuesday.

If that's agreeable, I will schedule it.

    Cheers,
    Rex

FYI, go with that if it works for everyone. Lee and I will be traveling
back from DC meetings and likely won't be back in the office until 2:30. I
then have a call at 3:00.

Just to confirm, the last version you sent out is the version we should be
pouring through for final group review right? (not withstanding issues that
have been identified in emails lately)...

    Thanks,

    Tim

    Thanks Tim,

You're not quite correct. I was waiting to see if anyone found
anything else to change in Figure 3 before I add it to Gary's Edit.
Since no one has found or reported any corrections to the version I
sent out, I am adding it to Gary's Edit and posting that now. It is
Revision-010 (Redline) and Revision-010-cln (all corrections accepted
    or 'clean').

Given Patti's schedule and mine, I will ask our SC group to meet
briefly using the TC line just to confirm that a meeting Wednesday at
1:00 pm Pacific, 3:00 pm Central, and 4:00 pm Eastern Time is okay
    with everyone.

    Cheers,
    Rex

What is the purpose of the Wed. meeting? Status and coordination? Or is it
to have everyone's final read-through (against the version just sent out
today). I think the team needs a little time to do a fine-tooth-comb final
    read.

    Thanks,

    Hi Tim,

I understand Tim. I think we should do a pulse check on this
Wednesday afternoon. After we confirm that the Wednesday meeting time
is okay immediately after the TC meeting tomorrow. I will send out a
request that everyone give the document as much of a review as
possible before Wednesday, and be ready to discuss any outstanding
issues, such as the status of the revised EDXL-DE/Distribution of
EDXL RM and set the deadline for final comments in our meeting
    Wednesday afternoon.

WRT to EDXL-DE/Distribution of EDXL RM, I asked Gary to consider
taking on the task before we heard from Patti, to whom I passed along
your recollection that this task might have been taken by her. She
has been swamped and under a separate deadline and may or may not be
    able to get to this.

Since I have done the revised Figure 3 and sent it out for proofing
yesterday before adding it into Gary's edit and posting the latest
revision (010) this morning, I believe the EDXL-DE section is all
    that remains to be done.

Just FYI, Werner did a thorough fine-tooth combing of the document
and I have attached the version I used to keep track of each of the
specific edits he found in addition to Alessandro's equally
fine-toothed combing which he did before sending along his action
items, including the Conformance Section which is the one section
that was completely new in the revision 009 on which Gary based his
complete check of the XML and made his last few edits.

I hope this report satisfies any lingering worries that we are not
giving this as thorough a combing as we should, and I would hope that
we would not need more time than this week and, perhaps the coming
weekend to finish it and be ready to submit it to the TC at a special
    meeting next week.

    Cheers,
    Rex

    Hi Elysa, TC members:

I am replying to my own post to the SC EDXL-RM working group to
update you all on the status of our work on the EDXL-RM
specification. I wanted to make sure that no one was expecting to be
able to vote on it in tomorrow's TC meeting. We won't know when it
will be ready for the TC's final review until after our next SC
meeting which we will schedule immediately after tomorrow's TC
meeting. I have asked if Wdnesday at 4:00 pm EAstern Time is
acceptable and some of us have indicated that it is, but we won't
know exactly when we will submit the final revision of the
specification to the TC to review and vote upon until this meeting.

I asked David Webber to reprise the short presentation JCAM (an open
source application implementing the OASIS Content Assembly Mechanism
(CAM) specification) to us tomorrow. This would be a slightly shorter
version of the presentation on using JCAM for EDXL--HAVE that he made
to us at the end of our face-to-face meeting Jan., 10. I would like
to either confirm or postpone this before tomorrow's meeting, but,
since David has joined the TC, he will get this message and any reply
to it, thus being updated as best we can.

We are very close with EDXL-RM, but it is a complex and lengthy
specification so if anyone wants to get a leg up on reviewing it,
version 010 in the Emergency Message and Notification SC Document
Repository Specifications folder. As far as I know, all that remains
is to revise the current Section 6 Distribution of EDXL-RM and place
    it earlier in the document.

    Cheers,
    Rex

    FYI - I have schedule a freeconference line for 11:30-12 for IF-SC
and 2 additional hours for TC and any follow on. Will put out an
agenda in a bit (will plan to include Dave Webber if you still think
that is a good idea). We may have several new members (from DHS and
subs) on the call tomorrow. Elysa
PS - congrats on all the good work you have been able to turn
around! Amazing what yall have accomplished in the past
month! Maybe we can get this out to the TC for review in hopes of a
vote by the end of the month?

I do think it is a good idea to include David Webber's presentation.
I suspect we can manage to get it out before the end of the month, by
    a day or two. ;-)
