The OASIS Emergency Management TC [1] members have recently approved a
Committee Specification Draft (CSD) and submitted this specification for
30-day public review:

Specification Overview:
This XML-based Emergency Data Exchange Language (EDXL) Situation Reporting
specification describes a set of standard reports and elements that can be
used for data sharing among emergency information systems, and that provide
incident information for situation awareness on which incident command can
base decisions.
TC Description:
The Emergency Management Technical Committee has recently voted for four
Committee Specification Drafts. These are for CommonTypes, elements used
consistently in multiple Emergency Data Exchange Language (EDXL)
specifications; EDXL-GSF, an EDXL Profile of the Simple Features Profile of
the Open Geospataial Consrtium's Geographical Markup Language; EDXL-CIQ, an
EDXL Profile of the OASIS Customer Information Quality Committee
Specification, and the EDXL-Situation Reporting specification v1.0.
Public Review Period:
The public review starts 16 November 2011 and ends 31 December 2011.
This is an open invitation to comment. OASIS solicits feedback from
potential users, developers and others, whether OASIS members or not, for the
sake of improving the interoperability and quality of its technical work.
When providing comments, please include the line number(s) from the PDF
edition of the draft.
