Subject: Groups - Best Practices - A GML Profile for OASIS EM Standards (Best Practices - a GML Profile for usein OASIS EM Standards.doc) uploaded

The document named Best Practices - A GML Profile for OASIS EM Standards
(Best Practices - a GML Profile for usein OASIS EM Standards.doc) has been
submitted by Dr Carl Reed to the OASIS Emergency Management TC document
    repository.

    Document Description:
During the face to face meeting at the OASIS Conference in San Francisco
co, the TC agreed that I should provide a proposal to the TC for the use of
GML in HAVE and EDXL-RM (and possibly EDXL-DE and CAP in the future. This
document is an initial draft on for using a profile of GML in HAVE and
    EDXL-RM.

The basis for the profile, as agreed to by the TC, would be driven by an
analysis of the requirements for using location in HAVE and EDXL-RM as well
as the approach for using GML already being used in GeoRSS
    (www.georss.org).

The proposal is to develop a Profile of GML for use in OASIS EM TC
    developed standards.
