The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) Annual Meeting includes a breakout session: PULSE, EMS and HIE - A Federal, State and Private Perspective on Disaster Response 2018 continues to be another challenging year in the United States as it relates to preparing for, responding to, and recovering from natural disasters—in particular the California wildfires and Hurricane Florence. The health IT community remains a vital partner at the table when it comes to disaster response. This session will discuss some health IT response efforts that were implemented and share how other states and private partners can become involved in building a more resilient health IT system for future disasters. The meeting is Nov 29-30 (PULSE breakout is Nov 29 10:50-12noon ET) in Washington DC. Unfortunately registration is full. There is a webcast for the plenary sessions, but not the breakouts. I will post breakout materials if they become available. -Scott Scott M Robertson Principal Technology Consultant PharmD, RPh, FHL7, GISP, CISSP Kaiser Permanente Technology Risk Office Health IT Strategy & Policy 310-200-0231 (office) tro.kp.org ---------- kp.org/thrive NOTICE TO RECIPIENT: If you are not the intended recipient of this e-mail, you are prohibited from sharing, copying, or otherwise using or disclosing its contents.
