Publishing issue - Question on .exrc file in /tex directory

  • 1.  Publishing issue - Question on .exrc file in /tex directory

Hi Rusty, We just noticed that there is a file ".exrc" in the /tex subdirectories. This is not allowed in the OASIS Library, since "dot" files are special files in file system. They are specifically disallowed by the Naming Directives [1] : "Filenames and directory names must neither begin nor end with a punctuation character (period or hyphen). [...]" Is this file required to be in the /tex directory?  Or is it intended to be in an editor's home directory? Can it be renamed or removed without making the material in the directory unusable? Thanks for your input on this. Hi Paul, It's actually just a setting for the vim editor. It can be completely removed with no effect. Cheers, Rusty.
