  • 1.  [office] Revised Motion for OpenDocument v1.2 Committee Draft/PublicReview Ballot

    Posted 05-20-2010 15:07
    Dear TC members,

    now that we have an overview document, we have all specification drafts
    and schemas available for approving them as a single CD, and for
    submitting them for a public review. I therefore make a motion for the
    following electronic ballot:

    Shall the OASIS OpenDocument TC approve the following specification
    documents and schemas as a (one) Committee Draft 05, and shall that
    Committee Draft be send out for a 60-day Public Review:

    * OpenDocument v1.2 Draft 3

    * OpenDocument v1.2 Part 3 CD01 Rev 07

    * OpenDocument v1.2 Part 3 CD01 Rev 03 Schema Files
    http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/37666/OpenDocument-v1.2-part3-cd1-rev03-schemas.zip

    Shall further the external stakeholders listed below being
    notified regarding the public review?

    - OASIS ODF Interoperability and Conformance TC,
    - OASIS ODF Adoption TC,
    - JTC1/SC34.

    Shall further from the three versions of the specification documents
    (ODF, PDF and HTML) that will be produced after approval as committee
    draft the ODF versions be the authoritative ones?

    Best regards

    Michael

    Hi Michael,

      You're not approving Parts 1-3; you're approving OpenDocument v1.2. I would revise the motion to read Shall the OASIS Open Document TC approve Open Document Format for Office Applications v1.2 draft 3 as a Committee Draft and submit for 60-day Public Review?

    ODF v1.2 consists of the following files and schemas: (list files)

    ---

    NOTE: incorporate a namespace (and include a namespace document) prior to approving the spec as a CD.

    Regards,

    Mary

    Hi Mary,

    I think the ballot text I suggested makes it already clear that we are
    approving the set of documents as a single CD, but I will take your
    suggestion for the ballot.

    Thank you for your support in creating the documents.

    Best regards

    Michael
