ok, i have checked around and found this:

it is very close to lax and has some personality. they too have a shuttle from
the airport. there are restaurants and a small mall across the street. room
rates are $99/night with buffet breakfast. i can handle the conf room rates.
would be helpful if someone could pick up the in meeting beverages.
i suggest this as the alternative.
