    Subject: Agenda: 1/6 Call

First, let me welcome all of you to the new year! We accomplished a lot in 2003, including learning how we each work in a collaborative setting. 2004 should be a great year for us, so let's start it off with a bang!

As you have probably seen by now, I have uploaded the most recent CAP issues spreadsheet, which includes the resolutions from the call Rick Chaired. This leaves 2 open issues for discussion today:

    1. Issue 19: Carl was going to analyze and return recommendation.

    2. Issue 22: I am to circulate a final proposal with improved regular expressions for 1 - 4 and 6 - 9 of the original list I sent (http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/emergency/200312/msg00048.html).

In addition to these 2 items, and per our Charter (http://www.oasis-open.org/committees/emergency/charter.php), we still are on the hook for "# Design compliance test suite and scenarios to assist implementers of the Emergency Management standards and to publish best practices to be used by implementers of the Emergency Management standards."

We had some discussions about this on the MSG SC list (http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/emergency-msg/200310/msg00040.html) a while back, and it is time to start putting those lesson's learned into a document. We (Blue292) certainly have some things we have learned and can contribute based on our experience in adding CAP to our product, and I imagine others in the group have as well. With that, I would formally propose that now is the time for the MSG SC to start pulling this information together and flushing out a Table of Contents for the guide(s). There are some things in the Issue List as well that need to be included (classified as "Imp Guide"). With any luck, we could start floating a draft around within the next 4 - 6 weeks.

And that should do it. I am off to try and finish the patterns for Issue #22...

    Allen
