We will have our regular TOSCA Community meeting on Wednesday August 12 at 5:00pm CET, at 4:00pm in the UK, at 8:00am US Pacific Time, and 10:00am US Central Time. Please join at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83059314783?pwd=QZ0ria97PMZsFMDrQb1uXAwaLassq9.1
This week, we will focus on the following:
Must every substituting-template input be mapped?
- Roberto has reopened the implementation details discussion (#258): section 15.2 requires mappings only for non-optional inputs without a default.
- I have replied there. A default is fixed when the realization is authored, so it cannot carry a value that differs per substituted node.
- Please read the thread beforehand. We will decide which reading we adopt.
Demonstration: one abstract topology, two realizations
- A live run of a TOSCA orchestrator driving an integration with Margo.
- One OPAS topology, naming no technology, realized onto two different runtimes at once.
- I will open the model itself: substitution filters, attribute escalation, and cross-service requirement matching.
The 0.1 release
- N8, the platform connection properties, is sequenced behind the credential model.
- HttpUrl in the core profile is missing its end anchor and should be fixed first.
If time permits
- Kubernetes testing feedback, Tal's generator, the design guide walkthrough, open items.
Thanks, Chris
