  • 1.  Motion for #767

    Posted 08-09-2024 11:51

    Dear colleagues,
regarding pull request #767 "Editor revision for TC meeting 2024-07-31" (github.com/oasis-tcs/csaf/pulls/767):

I hereby submit the following motion and request that if seconded and no objection received per this list before one week has passed on 2024-08-16 18:00 UTC to automatically carry.
The Chair usually states the result per mail to this list when the period has passed.

I, Thomas Schmidt, move to accept the Editor Revision 2024-07-31 as suggested in github.com/oasis-tcs/csaf/pulls/767 into our master branch. This motion is independent of the potential generation of a rendered version of the document which will be located in the csaf_2.1/prose/share folder and any changes to the generation files located in csaf_2.1/prose/bin and csaf_2.1/prose/etc.

    Best wishes,
    Thomas

I, Stefan Hagen, hereby second the motion from Thomas Schmidt to accept the
editor revision 2024-07-31 as suggested in https://github.com/oasis-tcs/csaf/pull/767
into our master branch. (Please note that I fixed the URL by removing the plural "s"
from the URL stated in the seconded motion.

As service for reviewers and until this change set is merged into master
the two user facing delivery items can be inspected in the feature branch:

    - the single file markdown optimized for rendering per GitHub at
    https://github.com/oasis-tcs/csaf/blob/editor-revision-2024-07-31/csaf_2.1/prose/share/csaf-v2.1-draft.md

    - the self-contained single file HTML by download from
    https://raw.githubusercontent.com/oasis-tcs/csaf/editor-revision-2024-07-31/csaf_2.1/prose/share/csaf-v2.1-draft.html
and local rendering in a web browser

And now for something completely different:

The user interface of GitHub uses plural for issue and singular for pull and a single
global counter for all. Maybe someday someone is allowed to break with the past and
simply fix that - maybe it is too late ;-)

    Cheers,
    Stefan.
