Patrick: B. Pending
Patrick: C. Arne - next week
Patrick: D. Done. - Action item - Patrick - Where is link in github to the latest version from Francis?
Patrick: F. Done.
Patrick: Agenda - approved by consent
Patrick: 5. Svante will miss August 3rd, and 10th. Rich will miss on the 10th. - No TC meeting August 3rd or 10th of August.
Patrick: OFFICE-4211 - sharing screen
Patrick: DOLLARDE - left off with last time
Patrick: Row 13 and 14 - are meant to deal with fractional stock prices
Patrick: Regina - currency as return type doesn't say which currency
Patrick: Regina - currency doesn't provide formatting, that is on the user
Patrick: Regina - number is correct
Patrick: Olivier - currency can go to more than two decimal places - should be number
Patrick: Patrick - can't check for currency as a data type
Patrick: So, number is correct for #13 and #14.
Patrick: #15 IRR - relies on NPV, which has a return type of currency - problematic
Patrick: Regina -
Patrick: The summation means concatenation of all the values that make up the list of values
Patrick: Michael
Patrick: Michael - if there are no values, return zero for NPV
Patrick: IRR returns any value, is correct because no way to calculate the return (Michael)
Patrick: Michael - calc accepts an empty list
Michael Stahl: Calc accepts "=NPV(2" returning 0; Excel documentation states that it requires at least 1 value
Patrick: From Excel support:
Patrick: Values must contain at least one positive value and one negative value to calculate the internal rate of return.
IRR uses the order of values to interpret the order of cash flows. Be sure to enter your payment and income values in the sequence you want.
If an array or reference argument contains text, logical values, or empty cells, those values are ignored.
Olivier Hallot: Calc: "at least one value must be negative (payments), and at least one value must be positive (income)."
Olivier Hallot: This is a constrain for IRR.
Patrick: Regina - return type is correct - returns % sign
Patrick: Regina - need to add a note that the number sequence needs to contain one positive and one negative value for a meaningful result.
Patrick: Action: Patrick to create suggested wording for IRR note.
Patrick: Adjourned
