Hi Regina
The ballot in JTC 1 is expected to begin any day now. It will be a 12-week ballot of JTC 1 members. Only national body members of JTC 1 have a vote in this ballot, although liaison members of JTC 1, including OASIS, can comment. If the submission is approved in the ballot by an overwhelming majority, ISO will publish a new edition of ISO/IEC 26300 without any technical changes (some purely editorial corrections may be necessary). I don’t anticipate any other outcome.
I recently made a brief presentation of ODF 1.3 to a small group of experts. Once the ballot begins, no international discussions among experts are allowed until the ballot closes.
Kind regards,
Francis
