A short update on the STIX 2.2 work.
Since mid-July we have been meeting weekly on Fridays and turning the 2.2 issue backlog into concrete specification draft text.
The work happens in the open on GitHub, in the v2.2-draft branch of the oasis-tcs/cti-stix2 repository, where the 2.1 authoritative Markdown serves as the 2.2 baseline.
We have started reviewing the backlog together (about 70 open issues target 2.2) and taken a first set of them into real discussion, from small editorial fixes to the start of larger modelling work. Those discussions have made good progress, with details still to settle on each before the corresponding work can be merged into the draft. Everyone is invited to have a look at the branch and the open pull requests, review them, comment, and contribute.
The working calls continue every Friday until the end of August at least. Everyone is welcome to join.
The format is simple: we first review the proposed resolutions of the week together, then use the remaining time for open topics, so there is always room to bring your own. And if Fridays do not work for you, commenting on the pull requests on GitHub is another way to take part, asynchronously and whenever it suits you.
We will also give a fuller update at the monthly TC meeting on Thursday 20 August: the topics we have worked through so far, where each of them stands, and the points where we would like the TC to weigh in. You are invited to join us there, as your input shapes what we prioritise next.
