2.     3rd XLIFF Symposium - preliminary discussion

a.     proposal of federated event with MultilingualWeb-LT and maybe other standards groups.

b.      Place and date of the 3rd Symposium were discussed. In next Multilingual World in the USA, Seattle (?)

1.     Results of the State of the Art questionnaire, Lucía to repo

Lucía: The survey was officially closed on the 15th of December and received 7 submissions from CAT tools: Virtaal 0.7.0, Transifex, MultiTrans Prism (5.0), SDL Trados Studio 2011, XTM 6.0, Okapi Framework and Swordfish III (3.0-6) .

               Joachim:  to submit data in the following days.

               Action item: Lucía to prepare a formal report to present in the XLIFF TC for discussion in the next meeting and to make available to the general public.

               Lucía: The tools developers that submit their data where either people involved in the TC or people that we contacted directly. We might need to make a wider call next time. After presenting the data we can make another call for having other tool developers to submit their data, seeing these results might encourage them to do so.

 

3. ULI report from dF: Reported on Segmenter/Joiner proposal by ULI/Arle. explained about business motivation, pipelaning for segment break iterator. The functionality should be restricted to plain text, and should have processing requirements (i.e. markup replacements) on enetering XML or other ML ULI believe that SRX should concentrate only on trading segemnation rules modifying UAX#29.
