The reason i ask is because we have developed, we believe, a low cost platform for testing that automates enrollment, tracking, payments and is a pay per drink model will that we feel is lower cost that other testing platforms..... hope things ...

The key is to make sure one is not mixing ACKs across OSI Stack -- e.g., level 6 ACK used for a level 7 confirmation. Looks like you all are on the correct track. I have seen http ACK s (404) used this way and even though efficient confuses things for testing and developers. I would avoid it if possible. ...

I would have to look at the spec in detail. ACKs are protocol level specific.... Each level has their own to verify the packet was received without errors. So using the OSI 7 layers, each layer would normally have it's own ACK structure. One has to be careful using ACKs from lower levels in upper layers ...
