The OASIS ebXML Messaging Services Technical committee is in the
process of identifying requirements to extend the existing ebXML Message
Service Specification Version 1.0. A number of requirements were identified
for version 1.0 which have not been fulfilled, these will form the basis of
the requirements for the new version 2.0. However, these requirements were
identified some time ago by a limited number of people and the committee
wish to invite submission of requirements for consideration.
The requirements definitions phase will produce a requirements
document for review by October 31, 2001, only requirements received by that
date will defiantly be considered for inclusion as part of version 2.0.
The original requirements matrix work that identified the
outstanding requirements for version 1.0 (Fall 2000) can be found at
http://lists.ebxml.org/archives/ebxml-transport/200009/doc00006.doc a
revised version is in preparation form the first Face to Face meeting.
This invitation will be forwarded to other OASIS Technical
Committees and interested parties to ensure the widest possible audience.
