David, I am not sure that I agree with you. You are correct within the bounds of traditional EDI, but there are many business cases where the argument is that the NRR is intended to represent delivery to the intended receiver. I suggest that we should bound the NRR term, perhaps using your stated position. I know that in previous discussions, back to early discussions in Tokyo, we understood the NRR to be between the orignal sending MSH and the final destination MSH--not the application. However, Chris was correct in stating that the business case may require a signed receipt from the application. Ralph Berwanger
