Hi  Some interns gave a talk at the last openstack summit which might be interesting. Its not TOSCA compliant yet (in terms of the API) but thought this might be interesting to some of us on this list  http://www.openstack.org/summit/portland-2013/session-videos/presentation/interactive-visual-orchestration-with-curvature-and-donabe   Feedback will be great. Also one of the things on our plate is to make the container API compatible with TOSCA.  Thx debo

Hi Debo, I have seen this demo live at the OpenStack summit in Portland and this was probably the coolest demo at the summit :-) I think it would be nice if you could share some thoughts on how this could be rendered as a concrete TOSCA use case (what NodeTypes and RelationshipTypes you would need, etc.). I talked to the students briefly after the session to inspire this discussion, but did not get a response so far. Another interesting topic would be how you see the relationship to Heat? Have you engaged with the Heat team to discuss a possible conversion on one orchestration technology on OpenStack? Thanks a lot for the nice comments! Sorry for the late response - blaming it on travel :) We have talked to the Heat guys (and more needs to be done) and there is some overlap for sure. However the recursion concept is different from what they have. On that note, we are also exploring how to take some of the visual stuff and incorporate it in Horizon Š For now we are enabling D3 (javascript viz libs) support in Horizon. debo On 5/20/13 11:18 PM, "Thomas Spatzier" <thomas.spatzier@de.ibm.com> wrote: >Hi Debo, > >I have seen this demo live at the OpenStack summit in Portland and this >was >probably the coolest demo at the summit :-) > >I think it would be nice if you could share some thoughts on how this >could >be rendered as a concrete TOSCA use case (what NodeTypes and >RelationshipTypes you would need, etc.). Hi Debo,   Finally found time to watch the video of this talk. Very impressive work! Yes, I would love to see this consume and emit TOSCA. Nobody should ever have to write XML by hand, and Curvature looks nicely flashy to use. Great stuff!   Best,   --Richard     From: tosca@lists.oasis-open.org [mailto:tosca@lists.oasis-open.org] On Behalf Of Debo Dutta (dedutta) Sent: Friday, May 17, 2013 11:56 AM To: tosca@lists.oasis-open.org Subject: [tosca] Slightly off topic: TOSCA style topology visualization   Hi    Some interns gave a talk at the last openstack summit which might be interesting.
