  • 1.  ISSE 2014 - Travel Budget Authorization for Abbie Barbir

    Posted 08-19-2014 16:07
Steering Committee members, Dee will open a ballot to reimburse Abbie Barbir to cover half of his travel expenses (not to exceed $1500) to participate in the annual ISSE 2014 conference in Brussels, October 14-15. Please look for the ballot and vote when you have an opportunity. In June, EEMA invited OASIS to submit a presentation at their annual ISSE event. Our presentation was officially accepted in July. ISSE is their largest European event with 350-450 attendees. The conference typically attracts European government officials, which is always a high priority for us, and it has been years since OASIS has been on their program. I participated in past ISSE conferences, and they were always excellent events, and this will be a great way for us to showcase the work of the Member Section, with a focus on Trust Elevation work. Abbie kindly agreed to participate on behalf of the TC at ISSE. He has offered to personally cover half his travel expenses. He is asking for the MS to help fund the other half. Which seemed to be a very reasonable request. Abbie does expect to be on hand during the event – promoting Trust Elevation and our other related OASIS work. Jane Harnad will be working with Abbie to be sure he is equipped with all the appropriate OASIS materials. Please look for a ballot to authorize funding for this event - and let is know if you have any questions. Thanks, John
