Hi all, please join me in welcoming Jirka Kosek, who just joined the XLIFF TC. Although Jirka does not plan to maintain voting status in our TC, he is a world class validation expert and his help will be most welcome in providing the advanced validation feature in XLIFF 2.1. Jirka is a long term active member of the DocBook TC and a highly active W3C member, among other things one of the Editors of the ITS 2.0 Recommendation. Jirka already helped us solve a few issues with our spec's DocBook template. Thanks to him our pdf won't have garbled extended characters :-) Cheers  dF  Dr. David Filip ======================= LRC CNGL LT-Web CSIS University of Limerick, Ireland telephone: +353-6120-2781 cellphone: +353-86-0222-158 facsimile: +353-6120-2734 http://www.cngl.ie/profile/?i=452 mailto: david.filip@ul.ie ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: < workgroup_mailer@lists.oasis-open.org > Date: Wed, Jul 16, 2014 at 1:55 PM Subject: Welcome to OASIS XML Localisation Interchange File Format (XLIFF) TC To: bryan.s.schnabel@tektronix.com , robin@oasis-open.org , David.Filip@ul.ie , chet.ensign@oasis-open.org , tom@supratext.com The following email message was sent to Mr. Jirka Kosek ( jirka@kosek.cz ) You are receiving a copy of this message because you are listed as a roster manager for this group. Welcome Jirka! It is indeed happy news that you will be joining the TC! Please let me know if you need any guidance in getting the lay of the land here at XLIFF.
Seems the ranks of XML folks in the TC are increasing. J

And I hope David did not have your arm twisted too badly behind your back ( http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/twist+arm ).
I’m told a combination of ice and heat can help get the swelling down.

    ;)

    Welcome aboard!
