Good morning, OASIS members! We are just 12 hours away from the ballot close! Congratulations to all the candidates! Even one vote in our favor, by our peers across industries, means they believe in us and our ability to keep OASIS OPEN consistently on the cusp of emerging technology and standards well into the future! If you have voted already, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you, for participating in this election cycle! If you have voted and would like to make changes, there is still time. If you have not voted and would like to, there is still time, as well! I have had the opportunity to get to know a few of you and am humbled by your outreach and the time you have given me. For those who I have not met and/or for those still deciding on their vote, please see my refresher below. My name is Jautau “Jay” White. I aim to bring my passion, knowledge, and community partnership and collaboration to the OASIS Board. Your support in this endeavor is very much appreciated. I look forward to serving the OASIS community proudly and diligently as a member of its Board of Directors. Thank you in advance for your vote and confidence in me. A few highlights about me: I am currently a Security Principal Program Manager on the Open Source Strategy (OSS) Ecosystem Team under the Azure Office of the CTO at Microsoft. I am a retiree from the US Army with a background in organizational and team leadership, information security (Infosec), regulatory standards, specifications, and compliance requirements. I am a community builder and believe that we will go further together. I am a strategic, tactical, and technical problem solver. As an OASIS Board Member, I will continue true open community partnership and collaboration. I will leverage my experience in governance and the understanding of leading working groups and special Interest groups in open source organizations such as the Open Source Security Foundation (OpenSSF) and CISA Working Groups to further strengthen OASIS, its staff, and its many technical committees. In this same vein, I will continue my efforts across many communities, evangelizing DEI initiatives through advancing programs towards underrepresented community outreach and the encouragement of increased diverse thought leadership and inclusivity. Please see my bio for a more detailed understanding of the ideas I have to partner and collaborate across organizations! Once again, I hope you do reach out for a 1-on-1. If we have spoken, then reach out again because I do enjoy the conversation!
