    Action Items

    1. Kris: Reach out to Nancy Harrison for the June 3 meeting minutes.
    2. Dawn: Send examples for filtering using group syntax.
    3. Kris and Dawn: Review DITA Maps and Processing sections by the end of August.
    4. Elio, Kris and Robert: Schedule and hold a meeting to discuss effective attribute values.
    5. Robert: Schedule meetings for items 3 and 4.
    6. Kris: Follow up with Bob regarding iiRDS.

     

    Agenda Items and Notes

    1. Approval of Previous Meeting Minutes

    • Status: Minutes from the June 3, 2025 meeting were not available.
    • Action Item: Kris will reach out to Nancy Harrison to obtain the meeting minutes.

    2. Announcements

    • DITA-OASIS participation:
      • Zoe expressed her desire to continue participating in the DITA-OASIS initiative. In response, Kris mentioned that an individual membership option is available if necessary.
      • Eric expressed interest in increased attendance in DITA-OASIS meetings.
    • DITA Europe Call Reminder:
      • Dawn Stevens mentioned that the DITA Europe is looking for speakers.
      • DITA Europe takes place February 2 through 3 in Brussels, Belgium.
    • Convex Conference:
      • Call for speakers will open in two weeks. The event will take place in Pittsburgh in April.
    • Regional Update:
      • Kristen's area was impacted by Tropic Storm Chantel.

    3. Proposal for Changing the Name of outputclass in DITAVAL

    • Background:
      • Robert Anderson, 30 May 2025
      • Robert Anderson provided an overview of the proposal to change the name of the outputclass attribute to add-outputclass in DITAVAL.
      • The current outputclass attribute in DITAVAL has caused confusion from many users, as it was intended to add a flagging behavior rather than match existing outputclass values in DITA source.
    • Proposal Details:
      • The new name, add-outputclass, aims to make the behavior clearer.
      • The change involves minimal updates to the DITA 2.0 draft and aligns with the need for additional documentation in the DITAVAL architectural specification.
    • Consensus:
      • The team reached consensus during the meeting today to proceed with the name change.
      • Robert formalized the proposal to move forward with this change.

    4. Examples for Conditional Processing

    • Update:
      • Dawn will provide examples for filtering using group syntax.
