Version 2.0 of TOSCA greatly increases the fields of applicability of the standard. Gone are the restrictive terms of the old 'Simple profile' which used terms from computing. Instead users and the community can create and contribute user-defined profiles using terms appropriate to thier industry and use cases. It also greatly expands the expressiveness of the language through support for user-defined functions and a formal graph traversal syntax. Furthermore, TOSCA v2.0 introduces an operational model for Day 2 service management. Version 2.0 retains the core concepts of TOSCA where both the nodes and thier relationships are first class entities with full inhertitance. These enhancements turn TOSCA into a universal orchestration language that can be used across a wide range of application domains.

Subject: paragraph for TOSCA v2.0 press release
As we discussed in last week's TOSCA TC meeting, OASIS would like us to provide a brief summary of the key enhancements in TOSCA v2.0. I was thinking of something like the following:
TOSCA v2.0 removes the Simple Profile type definitions from the standard and introduces support for user-defined profiles instead. It also greatly expands the expressiveness of the language through support for user-defined functions and a formal graph traversal syntax. Furthermore, TOSCA v2.0 introduces an operational model for Day 2 service management. These enhancements turn TOSCA into a universal orchestration language that can be used across a wide range of application domains.
Please provide feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Thanks,
Chris
