CACAO describes how these playbooks can be created and shared in a structured and standardized way across organizational boundaries and technological solutions.
This specification is intended for individuals and organizations working in, with, or creating solutions for cybersecurity. Playbooks are a critical aspect of modern cybersecurity and are often used by security operation centers (SOCs), cyber defense centers (CDCs), cybersecurity departments, information security (infosec) departments, information technology (IT) departments, CISOs, CIOs, and CSOs since they can connect manual human processes and automated processes with deployed technology.
