    Hi Folks!

Please start taking a look at anything you proposed/contributed to (or picked up) and how it is included in WD06, to make sure nothing was missed, no cut/paste errors etc.

Once you have completed review, please send email to either this full list or Bob, Dieter & me so we can update the wik (column "Content Reviewed by whom during committee review")i.  It is important that the committee review for any errors before we send out for public review.  Changes get more challenging as we pass through each part of the process.

Dieter - there was a request for a 3.1 final to 3.2 WD06 diff version (so people can see full changes to review).  Let us know if that is possible.

    Thank you!

    Valerie

    Hi Valerie, all,

I have uploaded a new PKCS #11 v3.2 working draft 07, see pkcs11-spec-v3.2-wd02-wd07.docx. It comes with following updates:

    • Work Item 21 - TLS mechanisms incorporated
    • Several editorial changes as per Jonathan's email "OASIS PKCS 11 TC : WD06 Comments" dd. 19 Nov 2024, except those suggesting changes for mechanism names as I want to align these with changes in the header files.
    • Tracked changes for all changes since working draft 02. I have not used PKCS #11 v3.1 specification as the starting point for tracked changes because we had the template changes at the very beginning of PKCS #11 v3.2, which I feared would overload the tracked changes. The tracked changes include purely editorial changes like fixing typos, replacing two/multiple spaces by a single space, etc. which I did over time without explicitly list in Appendix D.

What about review of my own proposals? It may not be the best idea that I review the incorporation of my own proposals into the specification. I will nevertheless do so if nothing speaks against. Please advise.

    Thanks,

    Dieter

    Dieter

    Hi Dieter & folks!

Thank you for uploading that change marked delta and for providing background on why there isn't a direct diff to 3.1.

I think that would be a great idea, if someone has the cycles, to have another person review your proposals and how those were incorporated into the spec. Any volunteers for any (or all?) of DIeter's work items?

    Valerie
