PROGRESS UPDATE

Matt reported that he'd worked back from the validation roots of the PEPPOL BIS standards and managed to create a list of UBL documents supported. Concurrently he'd been working with the Australian Localisation Subcommittee who are looking at extending the DBC standards to cover more use cases, including purchasing, fulfillment and accounts payable. If this is implemented, Matt thinks this may mean the Australian e-invoicing network will cover use cases not currently covered by PEPPOL BIS.

Matt asked Kenneth whether he was aware of any other UBL implementations in the government e-procurement context for Matt to look at for further validation of staged implementation of UBL. Kenneth mentioned OIOUBL but that it had been superseded by PEPPOL anyway.

Matt suggested that the process from here be:

  • Establish documents in use by open e-invoicing networks (partially complete)
  • Verify use / omission of optional elements within documents
  • Agree on sequencing and phasing of feature support
  • Establish use cases supported by each phase
  • Draft committee note laying out sequence and use cases supported
  • Generate XSD subsets for each phase for Semantic Generation phase (noting that ingestion of XML should accept whole schema)

Kenneth agreed that this sounded reasonable.

NEXT MEETING

The next SBSC meeting will be held on 5 September 2018.

ANY OTHER BUSINESS

There was no other business.
