OASIS Members and other interested parties, OASIS is pleased to announce the publication of XLIFF Version 2.1 Committee Specification 01 by the members of the OASIS XML Localisation Interchange File Format (XLIFF) TC: XLIFF Version 2.1 Committee Specification 01 23 August 2017 The XML Localisation Interchange File Format (XLIFF) is a specification for the interchange of localizable software and document based objects and related metadata. The purpose of XLIFF's extensible XML vocabularies is to store localisable data and carry it from one step of the localization process to the other, while allowing interoperability between and among tools. XLIFF is a specification for the loss-less interchange of localizable data and its related information. It is tool-neutral, has been formalized as an XML vocabulary (through XML schema), and features an extensibility mechanism.
