    Dear OASIS Members,

I'm honored to be running for the OASIS Board of Directors and would be grateful for your support.

I'm a Principal Staff member and Chief Scientist for Cyber Capabilities Development at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where I lead efforts in cybersecurity automation, threat intelligence sharing, and operational resilience. I also chair the Indicators of Behavior (IoB) project within the Open Cybersecurity Alliance, where we're extending STIX and TAXII to support behavior-based threat detection.

    If elected, I'll work to:

    • Strengthen the bridge between open standards and open source, with a focus on operational impact
    • Support reference implementations and testbeds that ease adoption
    • Help OASIS stay agile in rapidly evolving areas like cybersecurity
    • Promote innovation in behavior-based detection, risk mitigation, and cyber-physical systems

I also serve on the National Security Advisory Board for the Bio-ISAC and founded a nonprofit that provides free cybersecurity education to high school students. My work is grounded in collaboration, openness, and delivering real-world results-values I'd bring to the Board.

If you have thoughts, questions, or ideas you'd like to share, I'd love to hear from you. Please feel free to reach out.

Thank you again for your time and support.

    Warm regards,

    Charlie Frick
