    3. Motion (simple majority): Approve the Agenda

    4. Informal notes from 21 October 2024

Francis: Michael reported that the public sign-up to the comment list doesn't work. There is no acknowledgement that the person signing-up has been subscribed.

Regina Henschel: Subject: Carol has fallen, Svante is absent, Francis, can you lead the call? It just happened about 10 minutes ago so I want to keep a watch on her

Francis: We reviewed the information from the Excel team here: issues.oasis-open.org/browse/...

    Regina Henschel: German Excel: =SUM(MUNIT({1\2}))

Regina Henschel: resolves in German to =SUM({{1}\{1\0;0\1}})

    Francis: Regina: This is strange...

Francis: Strange, and a moving target, as the Excel team will probably change the behaviour. Can we standardize on this basis?

Francis: Regina: We at least need to do a comparison of several implementations, including LibreOffice, Gnumeric and Excel.

    Regina Henschel: and Google spreadsheets.

Francis: A "test suite" is needed. There is already material in the related JIRA issues.

Francis: I'll write to Kelly about the sign-up problems reported by Michael.

Michael Stahl: email of the person who tried to sign up for comments: mikekaganski@hotmail.com

Francis: I must request leave of absence for two meetings: 28/10 and 4/11.

Francis: Michael and Alfred both request leave of absence for the meeting on 28/10.

Francis: informal meeting adjourned 16:47 UTC.

Regarding OFFICE-4166, not noted above, but Regina I think agreed to do some work on tests to compare the behaviour of LibreOffice, Gnumeric, Excel and Google Sheets.

We also wished you and Carol the best, a speedy recovery for Carol, and hope you'll be back in action for the next meeting. However, please note that both Michael and I will definitely be absent on Oct 28th, and I will be absent on Nov 4th. Alfred may additionally be absent on Oct 28th, so I suspect next week's meeting will be just between you, Svante and Regina.

    5. Kelly's response on comment subscription:

    https://groups.oasis-open.org/discussion/fwd-subscribing-to-the-office-comment-mailing-list-when-not-a-tc-member

    6. Kelly's response on editing the homepage (sent to me and not the group):

Regarding the new page you are looking for, I don't believe this exact functionality exists to create an entirely new page. This homepage works off of the idea of linking to other places in the workspace or to external sources.

A few other potential solutions come to mind:
    - We could move content in document/file format to the 'documents' folder in the 'workspace' tab
    - We could shift material to a GitHub repository. Our options for this differ depending on the intended user (TC member vs. general public)
    - We could find some other way to structure the homepage depending on what you are looking to accomplish

    7. Review ODF homepage for content (not layout)

*As per our discussion last week, I have reworked the email addresses to
be read, what about URLs in links?

    8. Adjournment

Hope everyone is at the start of a great week!

    Patrick
