    Hello,

    In the last BDXR meeting (before the summer) I mentioned an interest in access control for SMP clients. 

    The EC Digital Building Blocks developed a proposal for an access control feature as part of their eDelivery SMP profile, which is now open for public consultation.   

    In future BDXR meetings I'm happy to further discuss this, also in relation to a future OASIS SMP 2.1.

    Starting today, 9 October 2025, the eDelivery team is opening a public consultation on the access control feature in the eDelivery SMP 2.1 profile.

     

    This new feature introduces an optional authorisation mechanism that allows SMP servers to control who can access SMP data.
