    Dear Michael and all

Here is the procedure that I followed recently.

    1. Open the OASIS home page in a web browser: https://www.oasis-open.org.
    2. Click on 'Member and Community Login' (top-right of page).
    3. Click on 'Create an Account?' (bottom-right of page).
    4. Complete the registration form:
      1. In the 'Organization' field type 'Individual' unless registering on behalf of an organization.
      2. In the 'Username' field your email address is automatically inserted by default, but I believe you can change this if you wish.
      3. In the 'I'm registering to:' field select 'Join a Public Mailing List' from the drop-down menu.
    5. Tick 'I'm not a robot' box and click on the 'Create an account' button (bottom centre of page).
    6. Follow any further instructions to complete the registration process.

OASIS should respond within one working day, but since this appears to be a manual process, it may take longer than that.

OASIS will respond with a welcome email. This will include a link for setting a password, as well as a list of the things that you are entitled to do when logged in. Most of this is irrelevant for individuals only wishing to post to the 'office-comment' list.

The OASIS server uses cookies, and I got the impression that logging-in and site navigation are seriously impeded if you don't accept their use of cookies.

The next step is to subscribe to the 'office-comment' list. I think that the easiest way to do this is as follows. Unfortunately, I didn't record which page opens when logging in as a new user...

    1. Open the OASIS Open Groups home page: https://groups.oasis-open.org/home.
    2. Log-in using your username and the password you have set.
    3. Click on 'Communities' (top-middle of page), and select 'All Communities'.
    4. Search for 'office-comment', or browse list.
    5. The first time you subscribe you'll need to accept the Terms and Conditions of use for subscribers.

That should be it. You can now see the 'office-comment' list and post to it.

    Kind regards,

    Francis
