Hi folks, referring one general question based on comments in the review.
Where should we describe conref rules, and how should we highlight them?
For example – you can't use conref to address a document that is just a fragment; you have to address something as a topic/map, or within a topic/map. (You can create a legal XML document that is just a DITA paragraph, but conref won't work because to reference it you need the ID of the containing paragraph).
I don't really like the idea of a topic with all the rules, because so many of them are specific to the attribute. I think rules specific to conrefend should be explained together with that attribute. That said, should there be some consistent way to highlight them? For example, in each of the attribute topics, if there are rules specific to that attribute, maybe we have a consistent way to present them? And if that sounds like a good idea, what would that consistent presentation look like?
Thanks,
Robert
