Dear SATIS TC Members,
We'd like to invite a member of the SATIS TC to participate in a panel session at the upcoming
Cybersecurity Interoperability Workshop & Plugfest, hosted by the
Open Cybersecurity Alliance (OCA) Cybersecurity Automation Subproject (CASP)-part of our OASIS Open ecosystem. This event, taking place April 2-3, 2025, in Reston, VA (at a fellow SATIS member's office, Peraton), will highlight real-world interoperability between OASIS open standards and projects.
We're hoping to organize a panel discussion that features representatives from the STIX Technical Committee (TC), SATIS, and our Defending Against Deception Common Data Model (DAD-CDM) open project to explore how STIX is evolving to address emerging security challenges, including space operations and misinformation defense. Ideally, we'd like a SATIS representative to attend in person, but if that's not possible, a virtual option is available. The panel is scheduled for April 3rd.
In addition, we encourage all SATIS members to attend any part of the hybrid workshop to engage and network with other OASIS technical leaders and learn about the interoperability solutions coming out of the work being done at OASIS. The event is free, but in-person space is limited (almost at capacity). Register [
here]. For more details, visit the Workshop & Plugfest website [
here].
Looking forward to your participation!
Best regards,
Jane
About the Proposed Panel: Expanding STIX – Adapting Threat Intelligence for New DomainsAs cyber threats evolve, so must our approaches to threat intelligence. This panel, moderated by a member of the OASIS STIX TC, will feature experts discussing how STIX is being extended to address new security challenges, including:
- Space Security: A representative from the SATIS TC will explore STIX's role in protecting space operations.
- Misinformation Defense: A DAD-CDM expert will discuss how STIX can help counter disinformation threats.
Together, panelists will highlight how STIX can enhance cross-sector intelligence sharing and strengthen global cybersecurity resilience.
