Administration
R: I move to approve March 18, meeting minutes – https://groups.oasis-open.org/discussion/meeting-minutes-15
L: I second.
R: Meeting minutes approved.
Technical
XLIFF 2.2. Committee Specification. https://docs.oasis-open.org/xliff/xliff-core/v2.2/cs01/xliff-core-v2.2-cs01-part1.html
New translation memory standard.
R: There is still an editorial issue with one of the links (Rodolfo explains them), the OASIS administrator has been informed and she will looked into it.
L: I will send her a reminder.
R: That is all we have for today on that topic. Once we have the technical issue solved, we will announce the new version of the standard.
New translation memory standard.
M: I asked OKAPI people how they feel about it. Having a new spec based on XLIFF. They said that it was a good idea.
R: That is good news that they think is a good idea, Okapi is used along the industry.
M: We used XLIFF as a TM.
R: We need to write a document explaining how to use it properly.
M: We might also need to check if we want to incorporate some of the features that are in TMX, like the fact that it can contain more than two languages.
R: we can start drafting something. I wrote the spec of TMX 2.0. It got released for public review before LISA bankrupt. The inline elements were from XLIFF. We could do something like that.
M: I also agree that we can reuse instead of redefining everything.
R: We need to have a parent element that allows us to be multilingual and not just bilingual. We can reuse other elements/attributes. It is a matter of starting working on it. I propose that we wait for XLIFF 2.2 to be announced and then we will start working on it.
L: I agree. No new business for today, meeting adjourned.
