- DITA-OASIS participation:
- Zoe expressed her desire to continue participating in the DITA-OASIS initiative. In response, Kris mentioned that an individual membership option is available if necessary.
- Eric expressed interest in increased attendance in DITA-OASIS meetings.
- DITA Europe Call Reminder:
- Dawn Stevens mentioned that the DITA Europe is looking for speakers.
- DITA Europe takes place February 2 through 3 in Brussels, Belgium.
- Convex Conference:
- Call for speakers will open in two weeks. The event will take place in Pittsburgh in April.
- Regional Update:
- Kristen's area was impacted by Tropic Storm Chantel.
3. Proposal for Changing the Name of outputclass in DITAVAL
- Background:
- Robert Anderson, 30 May 2025
- Robert Anderson provided an overview of the proposal to change the name of the outputclass attribute to add-outputclass in DITAVAL.
- The current outputclass attribute in DITAVAL has caused confusion from many users, as it was intended to add a flagging behavior rather than match existing outputclass values in DITA source.
- Proposal Details:
- The new name, add-outputclass, aims to make the behavior clearer.
- The change involves minimal updates to the DITA 2.0 draft and aligns with the need for additional documentation in the DITAVAL architectural specification.
- Consensus:
- The team reached consensus during the meeting today to proceed with the name change.
- Robert formalized the proposal to move forward with this change.
