Dear OpenDocument TC:
We're pleased to report that our last PAS submission for ODF has been balloted and approved. As you will see in the attached logs, each of the three parts (-2, -3, and -4) was approved with no dissent. However, as is not unusual, we also received a few editorial comments from one delegation, mostly suggesting that you consider updating some outdated cross-references and links.
As you know, from prior rounds, JTC 1 asks us to return the logs with a dispostion for each comment, along with an updated specification document containing any edits you accept:
Please provide a disposition to each comment and a new .doc and .pdf file along with editable graphic files. If no changes or only editorial changes are made, the specification can proceed to publication.
I suspect that no new graphic material needs to be submitted or re-considered; given that we made it through their filter last time, we're probably better off simply re-pointing to the original submissions' contents for all that, not re-sending that material.
The ballots and comment logs are attached.
I hope you will agree that it was worth it, even though our submission took the brunt of delays and revisions due to, among other things, significant changes to JTC 1 templating, content rules, and processing. We now have the benefit of a clearer set of their requirements for future submissions. Certainly OASIS, our staff including Kelly and I, and your implementer community deeply appreciate your work to support that process.
Cordially Jamie
