  • 1.  status re preparations for CSD04

    Posted 08-18-2024 17:19

    Hi all,

this is just an update on where we are ahead of the technical meeting tomorrow, because I will be at the airport (our meeting is 10am and my flight is 11.45, so I might be late or dropping out because of things like security check etc.) -- Vojta will be at the meeting though.

The good news is that I think we are pretty much good to go and have the CSD04 prepared for the September 6th meeting. My colleague Marek did review the XSD fix by John, and it seems very simple and doing what we need. I have spent some good 20 hours last week reading through with Vojta, we have found many small editorial bugs, but no major flaws and finally crafted some (not all but at least some) NVH examples. All this is here in a pull request: https://github.com/oasis-tcs/lexidma/pull/143

If Michal manages to fix the issues assigned to him (around XML serialization), I will then try to prepare artifacts for CSD04 fixing all what Paul Knight has summarized (issue #134), and the September meeting could be quite short and sweet.

    Hi all,

I think everything is ready for CSD04:

    • All issues are either closed, or will close automatically once the one last pull request (#147) is merged.
    • This pull request will also bring all the admin stuff we need: a CSD03 change tracking section in the spec, and a CSD03 comment resolution spreadsheet.

So, as Miloš says, the meeting could be short and sweet.

    Dear all,

The last remaining issue consists of David's changes that never made it from his repository, and meanwhile have some conflicts -- if we resolve these tomorrow morning, we may progress I think.

I have now merged a batch of many small editorial changes, and preparations for CSD04. While I'm positive about CSD04, I'm negative about the fact that I keep finding many small mistakes here and there as I work with the draft. Sometimes we fix one issue and create five new, such as that model changes are not propagated to serializations or to examples. We shall discuss what to do about this tomorrow.
