During this week's TOSCA Community Meeting, we discussed a plan for creating a TOSCA Kubernetes Profile:
- Tal suggested we start by identifying a small number of "real world" Kubernetes examples and then create TOSCA service templates for these examples.
- The chosen examples should be sufficiently "complex" to exercise a large portion of the Kubernetes functionality.
- These examples would then be used to drive the creation of node types and relationship types.
Angelo suggested we start with the examples in DeathStarBench, which is an open-source benchmark suite for cloud microservices: https://github.com/delimitrou/DeathStarBench
Miles recommended we also look at Online Boutique, which is a cloud-first microservices demo application: https://github.com/GoogleCloudPlatform/microservices-demo
If you have a chance, please take a look at these examples before Wednesday's meeting so we can prioritize which ones to work on first.
Thanks,
Chris
