Now that the TOSCA v2.0 specification has been completed, we need to prioritize our next set of activities. We have discussed the following:
- Continue fleshing out additional TOSCA features such as workflows and policies with the goal of publishing a TOSCA v2.1 specification.
- Focus on the companion document called "Introduction to TOSCA v2.0" which could serve as a "tutorial" or a "guide" for those who want to adopt TOSCA as their standard for Orchestration.
- Create a sophisticated set of TOSCA examples that can be used to demonstrate and explain the various TOSCA features. These examples could stand alone (e.g. in the tosca-community-contributions repo), or they could get included in a follow-up version of the TOSCA v2.0 spec, or they could be part of the Introduction to TOSCA v2.0 document.
- Create a guide for TOSCA Profile Development. This guide would introduce TOSCA profiles in depth, and provide guidance for developers of application-specific TOSCA profiles.
In addition, we have discussed a number of events and activities to create awareness and promote adoption of TOSCA v2.0:
- A webinar introducing TOSCA v2.0 and its features.
- Revisit the TOSCA Implementation Stories webinar series to demonstrate progress of some of the implementations.
- A set of academic papers and/or an event to highlight the use of TOSCA in the research community.
- A set of blog posts related to TOSCA.
Please let me know if you would like to add to this list and which ones of these you might be able to help with.
Thanks,
Chris
