There are certain core things that the DITA TC needs infrastructure for. This is our attempt to track our requirements and what we can and cannot do in the new site.

    Functionality

    Does it work yet?

    Workarounds?

All users can log into the platform.

    Yes

Users can send and receive e-mails from their preferred e-mail clients.

    Yes

Chair can take attendance for TC calls.

    Yes

Very clunky. Requires me to "register" people for individual meetings, and then mark whether they attended or not.

Chair and secretary can update and maintain voting status.

    No

Chair and secretary can update and maintain the TC home page.

    No

Chair can cancel a meeting when necessary, and an e-mail will be sent to the TC e-mail list.

    ?

Users can upload and download documents.

    Yes

Non-DITA TC members can communicate with the DITA TC.

    No

Non-DITA TC members can join the DITA TC.

    No

DITA TC members can leave the DITA TC.

    No

Is there a new email for the Lightweight DITA Subcommittee? I tried the
old one today and it does not seem to be working.

    Thanks,
    Mark Giffin

    Hi Kris:

My responses are on the table below.

As mentioned in the table below, here is the form we are using to manage roster changes. This is the best tool we currently have as we need a way to make sure that new members read and confirm their agreement to the TC process and to the IPR policy.

Chair and secretary can update and maintain voting status.

    No

Kelly: I updated Nancy's permissions so she should have the access she needs. Let me know if there is anyone else.

Chair and secretary can update and maintain the TC home page.

    No

Kelly: Chairs and Secretaries have this ability. Instructions are in the FAQ on the OASIS website. I can share the link directly if helpful.

Chair can cancel a meeting when necessary, and an e-mail will be sent to the TC e-mail list.

    ?

Kelly: Im working on this. There is a button to 'hide an event' but I am asking for one to cancel.

Users can upload and download documents.

    Yes

Non-DITA TC members can communicate with the DITA TC.

    No

Kelly: working on this too. It is more complex than the dev team originally planned. I have the new comment email addresses and the archives, we just need to link each tool with the non-members which is the source of trouble. I have a meeting on Thursday to settle on a solution.

Non-DITA TC members can join the DITA TC.

    No

Kelly: currently managing this using the form linked in this email. We had this noted on the toolbar on the right side of the homepage but I see that it has been removed. I will get it added back.

    Hi,

The old email to post to the Lightweight DITA SC list does not seem to
work, I tried today. Is there a new one?

    Thanks,
    Mark Giffin

Yes, there is a new e-mail address for the Lightweight DITA subcommittee: OASIS-dita-lightweight-dita@ConnectedCommunity.org

Update your address book, since the old e-mail address will not work.

    Best,
    Kris

    Hi Kris:

I edited it slightly because I thought the double mention of 'dita' was strange.

I just circulated the updated email: OASIS-lightweight-dita@ConnectedCommunity.org

I can change it back if need be.

I sent an email to OASIS-dita-lightweight-dita@ConnectedCommunity.org to test it, and nothing happened. It was over an hour ago.

    Thanks,

    Ok, great news.

I made a slight adjustment to the email address from the one Kris shared because I thought the 2x 'dita' mention was unnecessary. It was simply a glitch in the naming procedure put into place during the migration.

    Glad all is working now.
